Standings

May
The 15th Annual GFL Entry Draft was held and Buffalo selected with the first overall selection, quarterback Sam Bradford out of Missouri State of St. Louis.

September
The 15th season kicked off and the defending Iron Bowl Champion, San Diego, won their opening season game in Baltimore by a count of 36-20.  The AFC Champion, Oakland won their home opener in front of a sellout crowd, over division rival, San Francisco, 53-29.  The victory also earn the Dirtbags their 100th regular season win and they accomplished the feat in 169 games, best for second all-time just edging out Denver by one game.  Oakland becomes only the fifth franchise in league history to achieve this mark.
San Diego unveiled their Championship banner the following weekend and won their season home opener against division rival, Chicago, by a score of 50-26.

October
Jacksonville owner announces the sale of the franchise following the end of the season to Jason Lemon.  After owning the club for 15 season, the owner decided it was time to move on and focus on other things.  Lemon has been a prospective owner for over five seasons, bidding for even the Philadelphia Phoenix last season and made an attempt to purchase the Jacksonville franchise several years ago.  This time, the sale has gone through and Lemon will finally achieve his dream of becoming a GFL owner.
Philadelphia starts off the season 0-7, becoming only the second club to ever start off winless in the first half of the season (check this stat to confirm).  San Diego earns their 100th regular season win in Arizona, accomplishing this feat in 204 games.

November
In a game between two 8-2 teams, Mississauga becomes the first club of the season to clich a playoff berth by defeating Denver.
Arizona wide receiver, Wes Welker, makes an odd appearance as a placekicker for a single play, and attempts an extra point for the win and makes it, securing a 30-29 victory over Oakland.  Simply one of the highlights of the week that made news around the league.

December
After finishing 5-9 last year and missing the playoffs, New England turned their season completely around to a 9-5 record and won the AFC East.  Miami came close to reclaiming the division title, but came up short and finished 8-6, however still qualified for the playoffs.  Despite the slight improvement this year, Buffalo still finished a disappointing 5-9 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season.  Philadelphia, with new ownership last season and a fantastic turnaround, started the year 0-7.  The end result was a last place finish with a dismal 3-11 record, and missing the playoffs.  One year after an after advancing to the AFC Championship last year, that no one thought was possible.
It was no surprise that Oakland and Washington were battling for the division once again as both teams made the playoffs last year.  Both finish a top the AFC West with a 9-5 record.  However the difference is Oakland swept Washington in the season series to take the division title away from last year's defending AFC West champion.  The title was Oakland's eighth in thirteen seasons. Washington's record was good enough to make the playoffs as both Arizona (6-8) and San Francisco (5-9) would miss the playoffs once again, flip flopping season record from the season prior.
Mississauga continues to extend their franchise record playoff appearance streak to four seasons as they claim the PFC East title with a 9-5 record.  Following right behind them in the division was Baltimore with an 8-6 record.  Baltimore qualifies for the playoffs after missing the past two seasons, their longest drought in franchise history.  Jacksonville and Dallas both finish out of the playoffs with a 6-8 record.  For Jacksonville, who won the division last season this was a disappointment and for Dallas, it extends their streak of missing the playoffs to six seasons.
Denver finished with a league best 10-4 record, winning the PFC West.  The title gives the Denver franchise eight total, tying Oakland the record for most in league history.  Denver extends their playoff appearance streak to seven seasons, good enough for first for active streaks and two behind the record of nine seasons set by Jacksonville from 1996-2004.  The defending Iron Bowl Champions, San Diego looking for the opportunity to win back-to-back Iron Bowls, finished second in the PFC West with a 9-5 and also extended their franchise's record playoff appearance streak to five.  Both Las Vegas (6-8) and Chicago (4-10) continued their playoff futility streak by missing the playoffs once again.  For Las Vegas it was their sixth season and Chicago it was their third.

In the AFC Semi-Finals featured divisional match ups as New England faced Miami and Oakland faced Washington.  New England found it quite the tough task to put their divisional rival away as they needed overtime to win it on a field goal.  New England advanced by a score of 37-34.  In a high scoring affair between Oakland and Washington, Oakland won the game 53-42 in a back and forth shootout to advance to the AFC Championship Game.
The PFC Semi-Finals, defending the Iron Bowl Champions, San Diego drew Mississauga for their game, however Mississauga proved to be too much and showed why they won the PFC East this season, as they won the game 63-46 to advance.  Denver finished the regular season with the best record in the league, and would host Baltimore.  However Baltimore convincingly upset the PFC West Champions by a count of 59-37.

The AFC Championship pitted the 2010 AFC Division Champions from both the East and West.  In a rematch of Iron Bowl X, Oakland would face New England.  However this time around, New England would win this battle, but barely as they would win the game 50-47.  The PFC Championship would see two division rivals face off for a chance to play in the Iron Bowl.&nsbp; Baltimore would play Mississauga, the PFC East Champions.  However, As much as many believed Mississauga would come out on top, Baltimore was able to come out victorious with a 45-39 win to advance to their record sixth Iron Bowl appearance.

The fifteenth Iron Bowl featured two of the most storied franchises in the league, both having been around since the league was established in 1996.  For New England, it would be their fourth appearance and were 2-1 in their previous three appearances with their last appearance being in Iron Bowl X.  For Baltimore, it was their record sixth appearance, to which they previosuly held the record for five.  Baltimore's last appearance was Iron Bowl IX and were 2-3 thus far.  This was the chance for Baltimore to even their record up and claim a league record third Iron Bowl.  The game was to become one of the most exciting ever as it remained close throughout.  In the end, New England won the game by a score of 39-37, the closest margin of victory in an Iron Bowl.  New England plackicker, Nate Kaeding, kicked a field goal in the dying minutes to seal the win and New England become the first ever three-time Iron Bowl Champion.  Kaeding was name the Iron Man for his 15 point performance.
